For me, and hundreds of changemakers around the world, being part of the UPG Sustainability Leadership Program Class of 2025 was that moment. It wasn’t just a fellowship; it was an invitation to rise, lead, and be part of a movement transforming the world, one sustainable action at a time.
Connecting Across Borders
From the first virtual session, it became clear that we weren’t here just to learn; we were here to collaborate, grow, and thrive. Each conversation sparked new ideas, challenged perspectives, and created safe spaces to ask hard questions. It wasn’t about who had the best solution; it was about how we could arrive at the right one together.
Nurturing Ideas and Leadership
Ideas were not left to fade; they were incubated, nurtured, and tested for real-world impact. The program became a greenhouse for innovation, turning sustainable ideas, from waste management reform to climate education, into tangible change.
We also learned the power of deep listening and impactful storytelling, presenting evidence in ways that moved people and turned participants into thought leaders.
Building a Global Community
As the weeks passed, we became more than individuals with good intentions; we became a united force, champions for sustainability. From Ghana to Greece and India to Ireland, we became each other’s co-conspirators for change. The relationships forged here are transformational, teaching that leadership is about how many you can bring along with you.

Today, I complete my journey in the UPG Sustainability Leadership class of 2025 with more than skills and knowledge but with a calling to lead with empathy, think with clarity, and act with urgency.
