Be inspired by this interview session with #UPGSustainability Leader, Pablo Mingoti. Follow us through his journey of discovery and impact.
What remarkable actions have you taken so far?
I have my personal project, Global Green Traveler, which aims to create a teaching platform for tourism professionals. This platform will have content about sustainable tourism and will provide knowledge for tourism professionals, creating job opportunities and career updates. I am developing this with Green Destinations, a sustainable tourism seal to encourage sustainable establishments in the state where I grew up. As I mentioned, I’m doing an MBA, and my final project is about “How to create a sustainable travel agency”, in the future I would like to create this travel agency.
As a journalist, I’ve already shared sustainable stories, life stories about people who work to #MakeTheWorldABetterPlace. I always say we need to share about sustainability, because people don’t know what it is. It’s more about the concern for the environment, the economy, and the population.
What’s your UPG story?
My desire to make the world a better place led me to United People Global. I was selected to participate in the #UPGSustainability Leadership Class of 2021 and the #UPGBiashara Entrepreneurship program in 2022. UPG has open doors for me; visiting the hurricane island was a life changing experience too. Being a part of this community has broadened my mind to dream.
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
I think it’s difficult to predict the future. However, I would like to work 100% in the tourist sector. I also look forward to creating my own family.
What is your greatest fear in life?Losing my family is my greatest fear as I am very connected to them.
When have you ever felt so proud of yourself?
When I traveled alone, I realized that I could adapt to anything. And now, I’m so proud I’m living alone, but of course in the future I would like to create my own family, because family is everything for me.
What’s the most interesting thing about you?
I am into track and field. I love sports a lot and won a couples of prizes.
What would you say to the younger version of yourself?
Don’t worry about the future or feel anxious. As long as you remain dedicated and focused, you’re bound to be rewarded.
Your advice for people who have passion and zeal to make a difference?
Don’t give up. You must remain dedicated and always have supporter in your corner. Always keep yourself healthy and good because you can only help others if you are in good health.
The End.
